In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Abhira recalls that Madhav once mentioned Armaan’s real mother’s name as Shivani. RK had also said that he met Shivani in an ashram, where she was searching for her son Aaru. According to Abhira, Aaru means Armaan.
Just then, Armaan comes to Abhira. Seeing her sad, he asks what happened, why she came there so late at night, and if she got hurt. Abhira tells him that his real mother is alive. At first, Armaan does not believe her and asks her to stop joking. But Abhira insists that it is true. RK’s mother is actually Armaan’s real mother. Armaan is shocked and remembers how he always felt a connection whenever he met Shivani.
RK Brings Shivani Home
RK brings Shivani home, but even after giving her medicine, she does not get better. RK remains very worried. Shivani keeps calling out Aaru Aaru. RK tells her that he is Aaru, but Shivani pushes him away and says that he is not Aaru.
Armaan Gets Emotional
Armaan feels sad and says that even though his mother is alive, he and Madhav performed her last rites. He further says that he met his mother many times but never recognized her. He thanks Abhira, and she hugs him.
Abhir and Kiara’s Return Home
Abhir returns home with Kiara, but no one opens the gate. Kiara also tries, but there is no response from inside. When Abhir is about to throw a chair at the gate, Manish opens the door and scolds him, saying that he has ruined not only his own life but also Kiara’s and two families’ lives. Swarna calms Manish, and he leaves. Abhir then asks someone to bring a puja thali and questions whether they will not welcome him home.
RK Confronts Shivani
RK goes to Shivani and tells her that he is her real son. Shivani agrees at first but then reveals that she is not RK’s real mother. However, she appreciates that RK took care of her for so many days. RK then asks her about her real son. Shivani says Poddar. RK recalls that he had learned Kaveri was hiding Armaan’s real mother. He then asks Shivani if she is Armaan’s mother. Hearing Armaan’s name, Shivani asks RK if he knows Armaan and requests him to let her meet him once. RK informs her that she has already met Armaan.
Kiara and Abhir’s Griha Pravesh
Kiara and Abhir’s Griha Pravesh takes place, but everyone remains upset. No one even waits to take their photos. Kiara clicks a selfie by herself.
Armaan Breaks Down
Abhira tells Armaan to go meet Shivani first. She drapes Shivani’s saree over Armaan. He then rests his head on Abhira’s lap right there on the road.
RK Feels Helpless
RK is extremely disturbed and says that Armaan cannot take everything away from him. First, Abhira went to Armaan, and now he will not let his mother go to him.
Kaveri and Vidya’s Secret
Kaveri tells Vidya that RK got Shivani removed from the ashram, and no one besides them knows about it. Vidya gets very worried and says that if Shivani enters this house, she will take Armaan and Madhav away from them. Kaveri calms Vidya down.
Armaan Wants to Meet His Mother
Abhira consoles Armaan, saying that he saw his mother when he was very young, which is why he could not recognize her. She tells him not to feel guilty and that he should reunite with his mother. Armaan asks Abhira if she will take him to his mother. Abhira nods in agreement.
